Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know
How much does it cost to send a letter?
A standard letter in the country this page is for costs €2.36, including printing, the envelope, postage and VAT. The exact price depends on the destination, the number of pages and the delivery option, and is always on your screen before you pay. The pricing page shows the current price per country.
When is my letter posted?
Letters paid for on a working day are handed to the postal service the same or the next working day. After that, the normal delivery time of the destination country applies - usually one to three working days within Europe.
Can I send registered mail?
Yes. Choose registered at the delivery options. You get track and trace plus a proof bundle as a PDF with the contents, the address and the time of posting. Registered mail is not available to every country; you see that immediately when you pick the destination.
Which countries can I send to?
Worldwide. Forty-three countries have a measured rate of their own - all of western Europe, but also the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan. Every other country is delivered on one flat worldwide rate. As soon as you fill in the address you see whether your destination is available and what it costs. A handful of countries are closed because the carrier is not delivering there at the moment.
Is such a letter legally valid?
A letter we print and post is an ordinary paper letter, and for cancellations and formal correspondence it is treated exactly like one you posted yourself. For anything with a deadline we recommend registered mail, so you also have proof of posting.
What happens to my data?
Your letter is transmitted encrypted, printed in Europe and kept only as long as needed for delivery and proof. We do not sell data and never use the contents of your letter for anything else.
Can I track my letter?
Yes. Every letter has its own status page: from paid and printed to posted. For registered letters you also see the carrier’s track and trace there.
